ArcStone Earns Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Certification

A milestone forged through resilience and an unwavering commitment to what we build together.
We are proud to announce that ArcStone has officially received its Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) certification through the U.S. Small Business Administration. This designation recognizes Lisa as the majority owner and CEO of ArcStone, and it reflects a chapter of our company’s story that is deeply personal.
How We Got Here
Like many GenXers, David found himself at a crossroads when his mother’s health began to decline. Caregiving is one of those responsibilities that asks everything of you, your time, your energy, and your focus. Honoring that call meant stepping back from his role as CEO, and handing the reins to Lisa.
Lisa stepped into the CEO role, not as a placeholder, but as a long-term leader, and ArcStone continued to move forward. Together, we navigated one of the harder seasons a family and a business can share.
David’s mother, Britt, passed away in February 2026, and her influence is woven into this milestone. We earned this certification during a challenging season, making the accomplishment especially meaningful. As a business owner and leader for many years, Britt had a lasting impact on both of our professional perspectives and commitment to our work. Her legacy is reflected in this achievement.
The Structure Today
Lisa serves as CEO and majority owner of ArcStone. David has transitioned into the role of CFO, bringing his deep financial acumen and decades of shared vision to the leadership team. We still operate as we always have, as partners in every sense of the word. The conversations, the decisions, the creative work: none of that has changed.
What has changed is that our structure now formally reflects what has been true for a long time: Lisa leads this company.
What WOSB Certification Means for Our Clients
The SBA’s WOSB program is designed to level the playing field for women-owned businesses competing for federal contracts. Certified businesses are eligible to compete for set-aside contracts in industries where women-owned firms are underrepresented, giving ArcStone access to opportunities that were previously out of reach.
For our current and prospective clients, especially those with supplier diversity goals or federal contracting needs, this designation means working with ArcStone can help you meet your own benchmarks while receiving the same quality of work you’ve always expected from us.
Looking Ahead
This certification is a beginning, not a finish line. We’re grateful to everyone who has supported ArcStone over the years, our clients, partners, collaborators, and of course our talented team.
If you’d like to learn more about what our WOSB certification means for your next project or contract, we’d love to connect.
With gratitude,
Lisa & David
