Case Study

The Challenge:
Over time, FPTA outgrew the built-in CMS from their association management software, finding it outdated, inefficient, and difficult to manage. The website’s design no longer reflected their identity or aesthetic preferences, and its clunky structure made updates cumbersome. Additionally, their vast content library needed a complete reorganization to enhance usability and accessibility. To better serve their members, they needed a modern website that would seamlessly integrate with a more flexible association management system (AMS).

Our Approach
ArcStone collaborated closely with the FPTA team to define project requirements, key functionalities, and overall goals. From these discussions, we developed a Blueprint—a strategic roadmap outlining the project’s structure, including a sitemap, wireframes, core design elements, a resource library plan, key milestones, and a timeline.
Once the Blueprint was approved, both the AMO and ArcStone teams worked in parallel. The AMO team focused on assembling, organizing, and setting up FPTA’s member data within their new association management software. Meanwhile, the ArcStone team built the website in WordPress. As progress was made on both fronts, shortcodes were implemented to seamlessly integrate the member management system with the new WordPress site.

Reviewing The Results
The redesigned website now accurately represents FPTA, providing an improved user experience. The new resource directory includes filtering and sorting options, making it easier for members to find relevant information. Accessibility best practices have been implemented to ensure inclusivity, and enhanced SEO improves the site’s visibility in search results—helping FPTA grow its membership. Additionally, the new website is designed to scale, evolving with the association as it continues to expand.

24X Increase
The new website ranks for 24 times more keywords than the previous website, becoming a valuable resource for information on the long term care industry.

Website visitors conducted over 2,600 job searches on the site in 2024 making hundreds of connections with potential employers.
