The Challenge:
NCHE’s legacy website built on Morweb’s proprietary CMS created significant frustration for internal staff who struggled with content updates and site management. The platform was underperforming in search rankings, lacked proper accessibility features, and included disorganized content across 225+ pages. Multiple integrations with e-commerce, learning management, and email marketing platforms added complexity while the outdated design didn’t reflect NCHE’s leadership position in history education.
The limitations of the Morweb system prevented NCHE from effectively serving their diverse educator audience and managing their extensive educational resources. Staff members found the proprietary CMS difficult to navigate, creating bottlenecks in content publication and updates that hindered NCHE’s ability to provide timely resources to history educators nationwide.

Our Approach
ArcStone led a comprehensive replacement of the Morweb system with a modern WordPress platform designed specifically for educational organizations. We implemented WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance while creating intuitive navigation that serves both veteran educators and new NCHE members. The redesign included strategic content organization, modern visual templates, and enhanced calls-to-action. We provided comprehensive WordPress training and established integration pathways for Shopify and Constant Contact while removing outdated Moodle connections.
The migration process involved carefully transferring and reorganizing over 225 pages of content, ensuring that valuable educational resources remained accessible while improving the overall information architecture. Our team focused on creating a user-friendly content management experience that would empower NCHE staff to maintain and update the site independently, eliminating the frustrations they experienced with the previous Morweb platform.

Reviewing The Results
NCHE now operates a dramatically more user-friendly website that empowers staff to manage content independently while better serving history educators nationwide. The WordPress platform provides the flexibility and accessibility that Morweb lacked, while the modern design reinforces NCHE’s position as the authoritative voice in history education. SEO improvements and enhanced user experience support NCHE’s mission of connecting and supporting history educators while providing the scalable foundation needed for future educational initiatives.
