On-Demand Webinars Offer Local Nonprofit a New Way to Interact with Online Community

By Jenna C | March 2015

MOFAS may be a Minnesota based nonprofit, but they are striving to be viewed as a national thought leader both on and offline.

After identifying that online learning was a rapidly growing opportunity for them to reach beyond just the local community, they started offering educational webinars. This evolved into the idea of building an on-demand webinar component to the website. The driving force was their annual FASD conference and the ability to allow attendees to later view sessions they were not be able to view at the conference.

MOFAS approached ArcStone with the concept and our teams were able to flesh out the phase one details of the project. This included choosing Vimeo as the video platform and embedding videos right on the site. To access the webinars, there is a registration form built in to track users.

Since the webinar system went live in late 2014, they have tracked 381 views and 80 users.

What's the ultimate vision?

The system is set to evolve over the next few years - primarily as a revenue generator by offering Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) to those who need them. This will include choosing and integrating a payment processor and building a portal to track and manage users.

“I wanted to say how amazing our On-Demand Webinar page is and it is such a valuable tool that we can already envision the page expanding. Wonderful job!”
